The avi for the movie is fine sync wise all the way thru. It is only when I convert it to vcd mpg that the movie goes out of sync. It starts off great, but as the movie goes along, you can see where it starts going out of sync. I am using the newest version of TMPGE. Any ideas?
Thanks
Bill

Probably a sample rate conversion problem. Get SSRC from the tools, set it up as an external tool in TMPGEnc and redo the audio.

what is SSRC??? Did not find it on the tools page!!
(I have the same problem) -
I doubt its a sampling rate problem... most likely its a frame rate problem. If you're converting an avi, open it in virtualdub and save the wav file (under the file pulldown). Then put that in seperately as your audio source... if that doesn't fix it look for freezing frames

SSRC is a high quality sample rate converter that can be used with TMPGEnc (just go to environment and set it up as an external tool. You can get it from http://www.milky.ne.jp/%7Egalaxy/ (click on the "A fast and high quality sampling rate converter" link)
