After encoding files to vcd it often says something like insert a larger cdr.
If i can't get that file to burn,is there any way of saving that encoded file for burning another time,or would have to encode it all over again?
Also can you batch encode files with Nero 6?
Many thanks for any help given....

This may not sound very helpful but never encode with Nero. It's one of the worst mpeg encoders around. It gives you no control over encoding settings and quality usually suffers because of this. Use TMPGEnc instead. It has a batch mode and if you are only making VCD's(mpeg-1) it's freeware. Only the mpeg-2 encoding is limited by a 30 day trial. Once you have your VCD compliant mpeg created, use Nero to burn only.

I have tried other encoding software before and whilst it does encode the films it doesn't have any sound.
Do you have to encode the sound seperately or something?
Sorry to be a pain but i am pretty new to all of this.........
    Many thanks...

This is the best advice you will get, couple it with reading the guides on the left and you will be home and dry.
    If it's wet, drink it

It's always a good idea to decompress your avi's audio to wav and use the wav file in TMPGnc as the audio source. Open the movie with Virtualdub, go to the audio menu and select "full processing mode", then go to the file menu and select "save wav". If your avi has ac3 audio you'll need to install the AC3 ACM Decompressor before using Virtualdub.
