  1. i have 3 xvid files i want to join. i have tried virtualdub and easy video joiner but they both split them into 2 files, the first being 1.95gig as if i can't join them as they are over 2gig.

is there a way of joining these into one file.
i have created a 14gig avi file before from my camcorder so i'm guessing it is possible.

i am using NTFS file system as well.

    cheers for any help.

    BJ.

  2. In vdub find the options setting that says something like "restrict legacy output to 2 gig" uncheck this and it will spit out a single file.

  3. nope, that setting is already unchecked for 2gig support and you chech it if you only want 1gig support.
vdub only supports files up to 2gig.

    any more idears please.

    thanx.

  4. Make sure you have the latest VdubMod v1.5.10.1 when you save make sure file spliting in the save dialogue box are not checked. Vdubmod will save files over 2gigs but i would'nt go too far as movies over this could cause your computer to freeze for instance i recently had a 3gig file that was the result of capturing and forgetting that it was capturing i didnt want to loose the hole thing but the moment i even hovered my mouse over the file to open it the HD went into over drive and froze. If you can try reducing the audio track bit rate if you can that will reduce the overall size of the file this can be done in vdub. I wouldnt make it any bigger than 2.5 gigs at a push.
