  1. This has happened to me twice now and I have to see what you all think. I am getting video from a bittorrent site that host dvd's. playing the vob files and everything is fine and others have said that the files play and burn fine for them but when I go to burn it it seems that I will get an I/O error. this does not happen with all dvd's that I burn just 2 that happened to be from this site. when I start up bittorrent again to check the hashing of the file I get the same I/O error. Does anyone know what this would be caused by? just for those that may not know bittorrent uses a hashing feature which tells you if the files are identical to the host, so it seems that once I burn it and get this error it's actually changing the file aswell. Any thoughts if anyone needs more clarification please let me know, I have also been toying with the idea that maybe because I actually have the program open while i burn that it could be causing this. but it does not do it with all dvd's just a these two, I also have the log from that i'll attach it.

    TIA,
    Gabe

it sounds like your dvd burner is having problems writing to the disk. try different media and see if burns better.

actually, after reading the error log again, it seems like there might be a problem with the file itself. are you able to play the file on your pc?

able to play it but if I FF it will go black and just have audio. so everything seems to point towards a bad file but im just baffled at the fact that others can play/burn it.
