I have been trying to convert at DivX movie to a smaller resolution so it fits my PDA using virtual dub.
Even though I change the resolution to 280x320 pixels, the file has the same file size (about 650 mb) as the higher resolution movie.
How can I make the movie get a smaller file size so it fits my memorycard.
Maybe the only way is to change the bitrate, but will this now give a lower quality picture, even though the resolution also is getting lower.
sorry for my bad english. If you guys could link me to some guides, because I can't seem to find any that can help me.

Yes, only bit rate affects file size (for movies of equal length). But, using a lower resolution allows you to lower the bit rate without losing "quality" (more than the resolution reduction).
