  1. hello

i'm a complete newbie asking a very embarrassing question.

I have a movie in .ogg(.ogm) and i'm trying to convert it to vcd. How do I rename the file as an avi? I have windows xp home, so when I just rightclick and rename it as movie.avi, the actual name is movie.avi, but the type is still .ogm

    newbie in need.

    please help

  2. when you change the file to avi does XP ask if you won't to change the file extension ? If not you need to untick "Hide extensions for known file types" I think
    Tools>Folder Options>View.

  3. in the future you should do a forum search for past topics on your problem for instance typing in ".ogg convert" gives many threads, this is one of them
