  6. ChaosMath, you probably forgot to put the files in a "VIDEO_TS" folder first.

Read these guides for a more detailed explanation.

    http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php

They were made with Nero 5 but the principle is the same.

Wrong. Nero Express automatically creates the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders
if DVD-Video is selected, and accepts only VOBs, BUPs and IFOs then puts the in the VIDEO_TS.

Try Nero Burning Rom instead and use UDF/ISO 1.02 as ddlooping says

Be aware it could be a media incompatibility, player or burner problems, etc...

  11. Nero has made VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders if you chose 'DVD Video' for a long time now.

  15. ChaosMath, did you try the UDF/ISO mode in Nero?
Your Pioneer DV-353 might not be compatible with the DVD-Video one.

If UDF/ISO is still not working, try RecordNow Max as tompika suggested (in DVD Data mode).

If you haven't already done so, I'd also suggest you use DVD-RW until you find a solution.

  21. I noticed several comments about Nero's creating of the Video_TS folder that is needed. My question, ChaosMath and others, is did you drag the files into this appropriate folder or does Nero have enuff sense to do that part for you? Perhaps, ChaosMath, you merely drug the files to the layout itself, not the Video_Ts folder like you should. I've only used Nero once, since Copy2DVD is idiot-proof and has never given me a bad burn with my files. Perhaps you could try it. I guarantee there's about a 1 second learning curve, if that.

Take the files that DVD Shrink produces NOT the folder and place them nside the VIDEO_TS folder that NERO produces along with a AUDIO_TS folder NERO produces when used in DVD/VIDEO mode. DO NOT put the FOLDER that DVD Shrink produced, just the files that are inside it. It could not be simpler. I'm up to backupt # 177 with DVD Shrink. Some with no compression but most with some degree of it. You will discover that some movies WILL give you trouble. If I can't backthem up using the sittings that work for all others, I don;t wast time or materials trying to back them up. Sometimes it's just an exercise in futility. Download the newest DVD Shrink 3 Beta 5 if you want to continue to use it. I use NERO 5.5.10.50 as I have not have good luck with V 6. You have to disable AMAPI but that's another story.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

  23. Don't forget to check your players compatability with media and programs etc. in the player report section. My best player (Sony 530) would not play any kind of cd/r disks but cd/rw were fine. It's possible your player is rejecting the media, burn program, or maybe something else.....
