    Yikes.

Not an easy task my friend. Hardly worth the effort, really. The main problem is, you've got two sets of menus for each side, and you want them to basically "mix" together, so you can access all the special features and still be able to play the movie, etc. It's a rather crazy process...something to do with basically mixing two VIDEO_TS folders. You've got to create entirely new menus..

Bah! I know it's not what you wanted to hear, but f*ck the extra features. If you really want that crap, buy the DVD. The amount of time you'll spend working to get that onto one DVD could easily go to flipping burgers at a local Mickey D's and earning the cash to buy it. At least then you'll be doing the "honest" thing.....whatever.

    Good luck

As kamikaze said, for you to get one menu for both will be time consuming, doable but time consuming.

also, if its the type of disk im thinking about, its usually the same movie files but one is WIDESCREEN and the other is STANDARD.
So there would not be a point really other than getting both formats on one side.

You could do this, but you would loose the menu and extras, and have just movie copy with chapters and subtitle/audio selections.

But they would be split by chapters. Such that widescreen would be chapters a to b and standard would be (b+1) to (a+b)

If they are different video material, and you dont care about the menu's and extras its doable also. Using the same method where the first disks's video informatoin would be chapters a to b and the second disks info would be (b+1) to (a+b)

if you want to know how to do this, look for teh 2 dvd to 1 dvd post. its all clearly spelled out.

There are some movies that are just continuations of the film on the other side of the disc... One good example of this is Goodfellas. There is no "widescreen" / "fullframe" version. The movie just takes up both sides. Its a real pain having to switch sides I agree.

The best way to do it is like this:

Use the program 0Sex and extract the mpeg file off the disc as a program stream. Do this for each side.

You will end up with two .VOB files.

REname the .VOB files with a .MPG extension.

    Use MPGTX to join them.

Use MPGTX to Demux them. This will fix any timecode errors.

Using FFmpeg, Select the Video Stream and the Audio stream in the TOOLS tab and tell it to MUX AS DVD and to POST PROCESS and author it as a VIDEO_TS Folder.

run your resulting VIDEO_TS folder through DVD2ONEX.

This will give you a DVD with less quality than the source and no menus, but you have accomplished what you set out to do.

    Hope this helps.
