I backed up The Truman Show with DVD X Copy. The video plays beautifully in my stand alone DVD player, but the subwoofer is not picking up/sending out any audio. My subwoofer has a green light that comes on when it is picking up audio, but this light stays off throughout the whole movie (no matter how loud I turn up the volume). I realize that this is a very specific problem, but I was curious whether or not anyone has a suggestion.

By the way, the subwoofer does pick up a signal from my original Truman Show. Thanks!

  2. It would help to know the type audio you kept in your BU. What does the standalone display show? Is it the same as the original?

DVD X Copy said that the etire DVD would fit onto 1 disk (a complete 1-to-1 copy). When I play it on my stand-alone player, I select dolby 5.1 in the audio set-up menu. The display on my player then appears just as it does with the original ... just no sound coming from the subwoofer.
