Cheers all My current operating system is WindowsME (yeah, I know) and my file system is FAT32. From what I understand, FAT32 has a 4 gig file size limit so in capturing video, you are limited to to that size. The "other" file system is NTFS, which does not have that files size limit so you can capture longer time periods. Is it possible to convert a WindowsME FAT 32 to NTFS file system? Or do I have to make the leap to WindowsXP and if so, is it even worth it on a P3, 1 gig, 528 ram. Quess I am looking for an excuse to buy a new computer!

yup, you have to go with either win2k or xp. win9x can't go ntfs. some say you can, but i'd rather go with nt. its a much better operating system. i got a P3 667mhz 190MB RAM and xp runs smooth on my machine.

  3. Nope ME cannot do it. XP is better anyways, NTFS is just a plus. Your comp is plenty fast enough. Despite the minimum requirements I had a P1 233MMX, 64MB running it fine.

  4. Try this.....it may only work with XP though.

open a command prompt (dos shell), and type CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS
