Is there some context associated with this question ? I cannot find a reference to "securites bit", for starters.
This is a pretty comprehensive run down on the NTFS file system, and it doesn't get a mention there : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc976808.aspxRead my blog here.

I've never heard of that either... and there's no mention of it in my A+ test book.. perhaps the manual or teacher has confused this with something else??

SFAIK, there is no such thing as a "security bit" in FAT16, at least. 8.3 for the name, with the point counted, Hidden, Read-only, Archive, and System. If the questions are printed EXACTLY as you typed, there may be some sort of language barrier, or the instructor is using non-standard terms. "Securities" are something you buy from a stockbroker.
This would come under the heading of "useless information". Lots of stuff in various certifications which you only need for the test, and have absolutely zero real-world practical value. Example - a four-bit section of a byte is called a "nibble". You just don't need to know that, though I did find it somewhat humorous.
There is something called a "security descriptor" which might be related, but IIRC this is described in terms of bytes, not bits, though they are giving you multiple bit answers which could equate to bytes.
I found when teaching an A+ class that the book was so full of useless and outdated info that I pretty much abandoned it about halfway through the course. I used several sample tests to teach from and emphasized the things they would actually need to know. -
There is no other context associated with the questions, the previous question is,
7. What is the max Partition size in NTFS?
A. 1 Gig
B. 2 Gig
C. 16 Gig
D. 2 Tera Bytes
E. 16 Hexa Bytes
& the one after the 3 questions is,
11. CDFS stand for
A. Cedo file system
B. CD file system
C. Canada Denmark File System
D. Complete file system
I was starting to think that it is writen wrong, but I double checked, & I copied & pasted the 3 questions, so this is the way I got them, like i said, I have spent countless hours searching for the answers, without any luck, I have even searched for "security clusters" also with no luck, I have asked some of the other students, & they have also been unsuccessful with answering the questions, I am considering to hand my assignment in without answering these questions, as I do not know what to do, like you said, I have even asked in an dedicated pc help forum, also without any luck. -
I also have never heard of security/securities bit but the other answers are as follows:
7.D
11.B

Yeah, I knew those, it's just the 3 questions in between that are shiting me.
I have even asked the teacher if they were correctly written, & he said they were, but he did tell us that we could replace the word bit for clusters, I have searched for that too, with no luck. I am at a dead end. -
The only thing close is cluster size(1,2,4,etc):

I absolutely cannot think of a possible scenario wherein the terms "bit" and "cluster" are interchangeable.
Warning bells are going off.
