  1. Hello all,

I got the trial version of Ulead DVD Movie Factory Factory 2 and
really like what I see. The MPEG1 encoder in it is quite good -
rivals TMPGEnc at the standard 1150 kbps bitrate. The options
unfortunately don't allow you to change the MPEG1 encoding
    bit rate (grayed out).

Does anyone know if it's possible to specify the MPEG1 bit rate
via some config file or any other way? I use TMPGEnc, but being
able to specify bit rates in DMF2 would make things much easier.

    Cheers,

  2. Looks like you can only adjust bitrate with SVCD (i guess it would be xsvcd really)and DVD options in MF2. Any reason you are using VCD instead of SVCD?

  3. Thanks, yeah looks like Ulead removed support for XVCD in DMF2. Lame. Gonna o back to version 1.

I use XVCD because my main DVD player does not play SVCDs and
also because my capture card (BWay Pro) does not support SVCD resolution....

    Thanks!
