What did you use to convert the VOB's DvdX V2 ? has problems.

If your DVD rip has sound sync problems, no amount have saving out and converting will fix it.

    Vdub
    1, Audio >Full processing mode
    2, SAVE AVI (test.avi)

3, Audio > WAV audio > Your new AVI (test.avi)
4, Audio > direct stream copy
5, Video > direct stream copy
    6, SAVE AVI (test.avi)

That saves the audio out uncompressed, then puts it back into the original AVI, if that is now ok, you can reload the new test.avi and use direct stream copy for video, but use full processing mode for audio but this time select compression and a MP3 codec, then SAVE AVI
