i have an avi movie and i use TMPGEnc to convert to mpeg2 and then i use TMPGEnc DVD author to make the VOB files. then i have nero but use DVD shrink to pop out my videos onto DVD. i've done this process tons of times. but this last video file is giving me so much crap.
everything goes smoothely until i get to the DVD shrink part. the audio is a good 2 seconds ahead of the video. i can't figure it out. the original file had no problems with sync. i even went through the whole process of converting 2 times and it's the same this. the only thing i can tell that's funny about the original avi file is that at the end, when the credits start to role, the audio cuts out. i figured the guy that made the video just wanted to save quality for the file size by taking some audio out. but i think this might be the root of the problem.

AVIcodec tells me this about the video file:
    File : 702 MB (702 MB), duration: 1:56:36, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 40 %, ,
    Video : 622 MB, 746 Kbps, 23.976 fps, 656*272 (2.41:1), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4, Supported
    Audio : 80 MB, 96 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = MPEG Layer-3, VBR, , Supported

maybe that'll help you help me.
