  1. I have a movie (.avi) and cant figure out what codecs i need . When i try open it with virtualdub i get "Couldn't locate decompressor for format XVID (unknown)" virtualdub requires a video for windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video."

    What can i do to open the file ??

  2. Try installing the NIMO codec pack from the tools section on this website. It has the XVid codec in it. (Don't use the LITE version as the Xvid is not part of that package)
