Auto play DVD for DVDR

Hello,
I just ripped a dvd and reconverted it to DVD using Tmpeg.
What I would like to know is can you make an auto run movie like a vcd on a DVDR?
What I mean is can I just drag and drop the DVD file onto the TS folder using nero like a vcd?
I use nero to make vcd's and all you have to do is open the vcd video template in nero and drag and drop the mpeg file on the vcd file and burn it and it will play in a stand alone player.
So I wanna do the same thing for a DVD.
I Guess what I am asking is,Is there a way to burn a converted DVD file to a DVDR without having to Author it or make menus.
As I find authoring and menu extra's a pain in the ass..

You must first use DVD authoring software before you can burn your movie to a DVDR. In the authoring software you should be able to tell it to begin playing immediately after it is inserted.
