  1. Hi
    Can anyone help please!!

Have a Film in svcd/vcd format trying to copy and paste the mpegav file to the h/drive in order to create a new vcd using Nero.

When I try to do this get an error copying messege box up saying Cannot copy Avseq01 data error ( cyclic redundancy check) does this mean the file is corrupted and is buggered or can I fix this problem ?

    many thanks

Try just to use the function cd-copy in nero. Then you dont need to drag in to the harddrive first unless you just have the cd-recorder and no cd-rom. If so you need to make a image of the cd and the burn the image.

  3. If you really want the mpeg file on your hard drive (perhaps to split or edit it). Use VCDGear to convert the dat file to an mpeg on your hard drive.

  4. Cheers Guys,
Why I am putting it on the h/drive is because the film Freezes towards the end of the film so I am trying to make a new copy of the film if I just use the copy option on Nero it gets to about 80% then freezes the PC up so trying to make a new vcd using the compile new cd option in Nero then VCD option to copy the Mpegav file from the h/drive , thats when I get the Error messege.

Also I want to cut the last 10 mins or so off the film where it freezes so I can copy it again using the merge and cut option in TMPGENc stage 3

    Cheers
