forgive me if this is a stupid post,![]()
i've got a winTV Go - card running in win2k.
when i open virtual dub in capturing mode,
there is image & sound,
but when i try to capture the video (according to the capturing guide that is posted here),
and play it afterwards,
there is no sound...![]()
does anybody know what might be the problem?
thanx for helping me out...

Ok, sounds dumb, but it worked for me. Go to the aduio tab in capture mode. Is the sound meter moving? It should be if you hear sound. Now go to capture. When I do this first, I get sound. Good luck.

jojoplato,
Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control
In Windows Volum Control
Options > Properties
Under
Adjust Volume For
[ ] Recording
Dot the circle next to recording and in under the box
Show the following volume controls:
[ ] Line In
[ ] Microphone
Put a check into whichever input your WinTV's audio out cord is plugged into, usually the Line In; Hit Ok and then you should see the Recording Volume controls for the Line In or Microphone.
Under the slider bar for your Input there is a
[ ] Select
box, check that and then close the volume control app
Then when you go to Virtual Dub and capture you should be capturing from the Line In or Microphone, depending on which input you are feeding the WinTV's audio too. -
deadpac,
thanks for the reply.
Everything worked as you said.
but:
* it only worked when i put the sound-input from my video, into the mic-input from my soundcard. It doesn't work when i put the cable into the Line-in spot...
* now i can capture sound & image, but the sound is very very crappy, compared to the original sound. Any ideas what might be wrong here???
thanks
