  1. source video is x264 1080 29.970 fps MBAFF Top Field First.

    i want to encode to 720p 23.976 fps. with tivtc or qtgmc bob + srestore make the credit text become weird and some frame missing.

  4. Either it's the qtgmc or 720p resizing. Send script and sample of the original sourcr

  5. sample is the most important part, since the source might not be interlaced at all but just encoded as MBAFF to be blu-ray standard conform,...
    (or it might be a wild mix of progressive, interlaced and telecined content,...)

  6. Of course the text becomes blurry. There's barely enough resolution at 1920x1080 to make it legible. Reducing the frame size to 1280x720 is only going to make it worse.

  7. Exactly what jagabo is saying. This has nothing to do with encoding. I simply resized your source image by 66.6% (1080->720) and it came out "weird".
