I'm using a Windows 7 HP Computer to capture a video tape to my computer to transfer to DVD using the Dazzle DVC capture card . I'm playing the VHS tape on my Panasonic DMR-EZ485VK DVD/VHS combo unit. It is possible to connect an S Video cable directly to the VCR (via video output) and capture the footage? I'm having trouble getting the S Video source to show up in the Pinnacle software.
Any ideas on how to do this type of connect?

I think most combo units only output DVD through S-Video. Check the manual.

The manual says you can use the DVD Priority S-Video output for VHS. But that the DVD will take priority if you are also using the DVD player.
