  1. Hello

I just made a xvcd. The source was pretty good and it was about 45 minutes and 27 seconds long. I used the bitrate calculator and change the Constant Bitrate (CBR) from 1150 to 2157. I also used some noise reduction still 5 range 1 and time 5 with high quality mode checked. I burned it using nero 5.5.6.4 When I put the vcd in my sony dvd player the picture looks great but My DVD tells me that the cd is over 78 minutes long but i know its only 45 minutes 27 seconds long.......is this normal? Is the dvd displaying the time wrong because i raised the bitrate of the vcd? ............Please help!

I wouldn't say its normal but that is a fairly common problem. Yes this happened because you increased the bitrate. When you use the xvcd format you can never be guaranteed that your disk will be played correctly. Short of reprograming your dvd player I don't see anyway to fix this problem.
