  1. I'm so new at this that I'm not sure if this is normal. I rendered it as 1280 x 720 and added three different effects but 564 megs?!? My computer couldn't even handle playing it without freezing up and re-booting itself. I'm uploading it to YouTube now. At least once it's there, I'll be able to view over the web. Does this sound like a normal file size for a 2:30 minute video?!

When you click on File -> Render As you have to select a type (Save As Type) and then a Template. These determine the codec used, and the settings for that codec. You can even click on Custom to change those settings. Depending on which Type and Template you chose (or didn't), 564 MBs may well be entirely reasonable. However if you choose a more appropriate Type and Template (or customise an existing one) I suspect you can get a far smaller file without sacrificing the quality.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I haven't been using any pre-made templates but have been trying to follow some advice I've gotten off of YouTube on how to render for each desired result. I'm gonna try it again, next time with some different settings. Thanks for the response!
