VOB2MPEG 3 error

Keep getting this error when loading DVD source or vob subsets

VOB2MPEG-DVD Player
Could not get interfaces, attemped to read or write protected memory
this is often an indication that other memory is corrupted

Vob2MPG requires .net 2 (it says so, right on the pack). I suspect that you do not have this installed on your computer.

You may not be able to install it if you are running XP Service Pack 1.

From the Vob2MPG website :

(requires .Net Framework 2.0 and XP SP2 or greater)

There is no sane reason not to upgrade to Service Pack 2 if you are running XP.

Your specs say you have SP1 in your profile.

Are you sure you have .net 2 installed ? .net 3 does not include .net 2. They are separate installs.

have not updated specs, all is installed both .net2 and three the installer for vob2mpeg 3 installed .net3, programs runs,
but will not preview, gives error.

Can you play DVDs on your PC with other applications? WMP for example?

Not yet. I am looking at rewritting the dvd player but will take a day or two. If you "ignore" the error are you able to extract?

swbisbee is the .net framework up to date on your computer? your specs say you are running sp1 so you might go to m.s. and see if there are any updates at least for .net.

it does work on xp, i was just using it with the preview.

Also what Mpeg Decoder do you have?

have not changed my spec as of yet, but yes am running the right .net frame work if i was' t the program would not work and what mpeg decoder should i be using

Well by default XP can't play DVDs.... so there needs to be a mpeg2 decoder which can enable you to do so. If you have a DVD player (software) like WinDVD or PowerDVD, for example then you will have their decoder... What do you use to play DVDs normally?

Personally i have DScaler Mpeg Filters installed as my decoder - free and very good. Perhaps the first thing to do is to install that and reboot and lets see where we are. If that fails we can try some other things.... one way or another we will get you up and running with the preview.
