I was wondering if there's a good program that can convert mp4 into avi. Here's the hard part...the mp4 has two audios, russian then english, i want to convert only the english audio to the avi file, what program is able to do this and at the same time retain most of the video's qualities?

EDIT: I now am trying to use Real Media Producer to make these mp4 dual audio files into rmvb...is it possible to choose the sound track then?

alltoavi and convert to avi xvid. If that wont work you can try winff, super, xvid4psp. If you get wrong audio track then delete the russian track using yamb.

mp4UI lets you choose which parts of a MP4 file you wish to export.
    In effect it's a MP4 "demuxer".

You might also look into RealAnime, with all the support packages installed (or maybe at least the MP4 support). I believe that also uses MP4UI behind the scenes, but I do admit I don't know if it'll let you choose only one audio stream. (Then again, does RMVB support more than one audio stream?)

  7. If it is truly dual audio tracks (not Left and Right different audio languages in 1 track), just use YAMB, as suggested to remove the unwanted track.

It doesn't re-encode; it just repackages the .mp4 (so no quality loss)

Then use the repackaged .mp4 to convert to RM. I have used easy real media producer (free) in the past with success

Not sure why you want to convert it to RM? Why not keep the .mp4?

Umm...when I installed YAMB the latest version...all I was able to get is some error saying mp4box.exe does not exist or the directory doesn't exist...what's wrong with it?

Just to let you know I really appreciate all your suggestions and help, I'm trying to work them out. I just like small files with only one audio..

You downloaded the wrong package. One package contains just the latest Yamb, another contains everything. Either download mp4box separately, or download the installer version of Yamb from here, which mp4box included : http://yamb.unite-video.com/download.html

OH I see, also does this do videos in batches?

By the way I heard that .mp4 is core based avi that's not suppose to have dual audio is this true?
