Because the two languages are both in the same channels, no, there is nothing you can do. For Asian discs it is common practice to put different languages in different channels on VCDs because the players support this function. In Eastern European countries it is more common to put a translation or narration over the original audio. It sounds like this is what you have, and there is not way to remove it. Read my blog here.

It might be two separate audio streams. Try a player that lets you select which stream to play. MPC can do this. If it's an AVI file with two audio streams you can use a program like VirtualDubMod to remove one.

Good call. I sometimes forget people still use Windows Media Player Read my blog here.

i think guns1inger was right, it is in the same channel

One last thing to check: make sure your media player and audio system aren't set up to downmix stereo to mono.

Just do what Jogabo said, open that movie with VirtualDubMod

Select Streams....select one of them...click Disable

Menu file and Save as AVI

Hear the resulting AVI, if it is the wrong audio just repeat the process and select the other

 I don't see any complication

Well, what about using AVISynth to split the channels plus VirtualDub ? is just an ideaOriginally Posted by jagabo

Just as a side thought - pcb, you might want to update your version of GSpot to the current version, 2.70a. There's been a number of changes since 2.52B01. It won't really help with this problem, though. If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

As I understand it he hears both languages on both the left and right speakers. In his first message he said "the left & right sound is same". The implication being that the video does not have one language on one of the stereo tracks and the other language on the other track. That's why I asked him to make sure his player or audio system wasn't downmixing to mono. If it turns out each language is on a separate track he can eliminate one of the tracks.Originally Posted by Delta2

Forgive me, but I don't believe in that

I want to know what streams VirtualDubMod gives....I want a image of that, I want to see a print screen of the audio strems

Would be better and easier for him not to use AC3 Filter, and use AC3 ACM Decompressor, and be aware with FFDSHOW because it is not easy stuff for a newbieOriginally Posted by jagabo
