Phillips 5982 won't display jpgs

Just got the 5982, put in my usb flsh and it sees it fine, go to a .jpg I put on it and the preview works fine, select the pic the screen goes blank, the display says "JPG" Something and stays black, after about 10 seconds comes back to the file/directory listing.

Using HDMI cable for video, coax for audio

Any ideas?

Just some wild guesses, which may or may not help.

1) The resolution of your JPG may be too large for the player to display it. I don't have any ideas what resolutions this player supports. (This is my best guess as to what is happening.)
2) There might be issues with your USB drive. Don't use NTFS formatted USB drives. FAT32 or FAT should work OK with your USB drive.
