Now I have a problem I was hoping you could help me solve

I have a back up of a 2 angle movie, Theatrical - Directors cut, done by no compression in DVD Shrink (which leaves a 5,2 Gb "movie only" strip) leaving just the 1 angle to make it possible encoding it by DVDRebuilder.
But now I want to rejoin/remerge the movie with the original menu and extras, to keep the movie and menu and some extras using DVDReMake.

    Now can that be done?

Wouldn't it be easier to re-rip the original ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

I agree with jimmalenko ... but for me , it's not that hard using pgcedit to reconnect it all again ... but it also has "del angle" feature ... so it aint stuffed up .

    What happened to your guide?
So some software might work sometimes and be better than what I recommended here and I agree that using only DVDRebuilder Pro + DVDReMake pro (Latest versions), will for most users be the absolute best solution but I'm me, I don't "settle for", I want the gold medal and this guide WILL work, when others might fail.

You may do a movie only extract from DVDShrink but DO NOT shrink the thing, chose "no compression" and do a rebuild using DVDRebuilder (Pro/non pro, doesn't matter) afterwards but I like to keep the Menu and some extras, especially deleted scenes, so the DVDShrink solution is still a "no go".

If Del Angles didn't work for you, then you didn't do it right. Maybe this guide for getting menus back after reauthoring with Shrink will help:

Next time, if you want to keep menus and maybe some extras, don't even think about using DVD Shrink to reauthor.

I'm sorry. I was working on 2 different projects but they were actually doing the same. One was with the movie separate and one with the menu and all :P

As in my other project PGCEdit doesn't work, so that's not an option but as I figured, it won't work doing the movie separately.

The "guide" to Del-Angle says, drag and drop VOB file here and when that says that's an error then I really don't know how else to do it.

  7. OK, try this. I don't think you kept any extras. All you have is a movie, and all you want is a menu. Open the DVD-Rebuilder encoded DVD in PGCEdit. Right-click the movie and "Import Menu". Then scroll to the menu of the original retail DVD and import it. Then you'll have a menu with all kinds of messed up navigation commands, and a movie. For example, the first-play probably points directly to the movie. You're going to want to make it point to the main menu screen. The Trace function of PGCEdit will be invaluable for you.

PGCEdit backs up your IFOs automatically, and will ask you if you want to back up the "menu" when replacing it. You should do that. If you mess up anywhere along the way, just replace the backups and start over again. You might even consider making a complete separate copy of the DVD, to make sure you have it in reserve. It shouldn't be too hard to get it to go to your menu, and then from the menu to the movie, and then back to the menu when the movie's over. Good luck.
