Does anybody know where to find a PSU with these exact specs:

    500W minimum

ATX 12V, version 1.3 (must have 6-pin AUX connector)

120mm fan preferred, bottom of unit, sucks air from inside case across unit and out the back of the PSU, 90mm fine if 120mm unavailable

budget is whatever is required, expected in the $75-150 range

Any ideas? All I can find local is v2.0 and v2.2, and not having much luck online yet

    Thanks.

Found these so far: Not sure about the must have 6-pin AUX connector

    470w for 98.00
    520w for 138.00
    600w for 158.00

Another After Rebates 19.99...if I read it right. I am going to order this one after reading the review of it. I might just stop by tomorrow to see it.

That ones looks to be the best one so far.

I was still hoping on a 120mm or even 140mm fan. Not ready to give up quite yet (and get that 80mm fan unit), so the search is on...

I know you are looking for a 1.3 spec, but that's a little old these days. Especially if you want one with a 120mm fan. This .pdf gives a listing of the revisions from 1.0 to 2.2 on page 3: http://www.formfactors.org/developer/specs/ATX12V_PSDG_2_2_public_br2.pdf

They should all be backward compatible. I'm not sure about the six pin connector. Is it about 1/4" by 1" wide with flatish type pins like the one below? If so, I have a couple of PSs with those. Seems pretty common, though I've never used it for anything. Or is it square or somewhat rectangular like the PCI-E SLI cards use?

I got the drawing above from this site that has quite a bit of PS connector and other info: http://www.informit.com/articles/article.asp?p=31105&seqNum=4&rl=1

I would look into the Antec trupower PS's. They have a couple in that line that have the large intake fan and 550W rating for less than $100US at Newegg.

I just learned, while taking it out, that I have variable speed fan adjustment. I can turn it down, and it's just as cool. I don't need a new one after all!

My reason for wanting to replace it was noise. Problem solved.

  6. If the fan ever fails, you can open it and replace the fan. It'd be a little bit cheaper .
