I have about 150 eps of my favorite hour-long (actually they're only about 44-51 min.) tv series on individual DVD's. I've been using DVD Decrypter, DVDShrink and Nero 6 to transfer them 3-up to other disks. I was rolling along until I got to one set that gets what it says is a "burning error". This what the Nero log says:

    ################################################## ######################################
    [08:59:19] DVDEngine ERROR
    [08:59:19] DVDEngine cause: 128 (nmc_processing_exception)
    [08:59:19] DVDEngine source: DEGuardNMCConversion
[08:59:19] DVDEngine description: SEH EXCEPTION caught during INeroMediaConverter:oConversion().
    [08:59:19] DVDEngine ################################################## ######################################

It craps out shortly into the transcoding process on the first episode of the three. It doesn't even get to the burning part. I know it's not the burner because I did another set right after this and it worked fine. Also, it wasn't a bad disk because I used the same disk for the one that worked okay.

If it means anything, these three episodes might have been slightly longer total than the other threesomes. The first one is 51 minutes. The other two are 49 minutes each.

I'm assuming you are using Nero Vision Express. Do a Google search for 'nmc_processing_exception' and you will see that error is fairly common. They also don't seem to know exactly what causes it or how to fix it. Nero is reportedly working on it.

Personally, I only use Nero Burning ROM for burning and none of the other programs in the suite. Nero is not much good at transcoding, encoding or authoring, IMO. But it burns OK.

It would appear that one of those three files is corrupt (or at least something is different about it that Nero doesn't like). Try doing the files one at a time until you can find out which is causing the problem. Then check out that file to see what is different about it.

You could also do the file encoding yourself instead of relying on Nero is only average at best.
