  1. I am having a problem with burned svcd and dvd movies slowly going out of sync. I have 2 different dvd players, a Mitsubishi DD4030 and a Sony DVP-NS725P. Store bought DVD's work fine in both players. When I burn a svcd or dvd file with my Plextor or Sony burner, the audio slowly goes out of sync in either DVD player, but if I pause, stop, or fast forward the video it goes back in sync for awhile, and then back out again. If it was an audio sync problem from the get go, it wouldn't play right in the first place or correct itself after stopping and then starting the playback. ( I think. ) I have updated everything I can from Microsoft Windows updates, and have checked if everything is working correctly in device manager. I also have updated all my drivers. I have used Nero and Roxio to burn, and both have the same problem. I have even tried changing the settings on the DVD players to every possible combination, and still having the same problem. Not sure what else to do. Any help would be appreciated.

What program are you using to encode it? And what program to author it? That type of sync problem is not likely related to burning or the burners. Is the file in sync before authoring and after encoding? If you are using Nero or Roxio for authoring and encoding, try some different programs.

    And welcome to our forums.

  3. Thanks...glad to see a quick response.

The files I'm trying to burn are encoded with TMPGEnc using Virtualdub for audio sync. I sent a small file to a friend that I had trouble playing and he burned and played the video with no sync problems whatsoever. So, I'm pretty sure it's not an encoding or authoring issue. Maybe a codec issue? I'm using the same software and procedures as I used to use on a different computer that I had no problems with. That's why I'm leaning towards a possible software or hardware issue. Does that sound like a possibility?
