Tools <---- will tell you latest versions, and point you towards guides for it's use. Or you could use Search. Hint : DVD->DVDR is probably a good place to start.

  8. I wish you'd proofread before posting. Your writing and spelling are atrocious and your last post made no sense at all.

My best piece of advice is to make sure you get the installer, or just getting DVD-RB to run will probably be beyond your capabilities.

    http://dvd-rb.dvd2go.org/

Go to the Downloads section, and then the free version, and you'll see the Installer package. If you like the free version, the Pro version is better, with lots of added features, and is worth the price.

And, as mentioned, the Rebuilder Forum at Doom9 is worth the visit. There are stickies at the top with lots of tips.

ok, sorry about my spelling and grqammer,

in my last post i was asking if dvd-rb's results woulod compel me to throw away my old back-upsand start again with dvd-rb, i guess its in the eye of the beholder though

isnt the free version just a test to copy like 3mins of a dvd and not the whole thing, also is the free version gona give me the same quality of results than the pro version or is it just added features, its just im going to a shop in a few h0urs to test dvd-s and i want to know where im up to

anyway ill read the forums u suggested and see if i can cope

    thanks again for the help

p.s im not crap with this stuff but when i start something from scratc i tend to get it wrong but when i start thats when i do the most work, i dont want to back up 20 dvds with-bd one w2ay and find there's a better, way, ive already backed up a few hundred dvd-s and now i find there is a better way

Yes everyone's eyes are different. I can view a backed copy of a movie I did with DVDRB PRO but someone else cannot see the difference if I was to show a backed up copy I did with DVDSHRINK. The results are stunning when using DVDRB whether or not you use the free version or the pro. With the pro you get free updates for life.

I do my comparisons of DVDRB PRO and DVD SHRINK on a 11 year old 32 inch SONY XBR CRT television. With DVD SHRINK pixelation is more apparent than DVDRB. I have a coworker who doesn't care what the video quality is he just uses a program that will require the least amount of mouse clicks to back up his dvd movies.

    hi
    right, im installing it now,

i have several versions of cce stuff i can install which one

    2 boxes

    cinema craft encoder
    canopus procoder

then there is a section for cce it says version selection

    cce basic retail version
    cce sp 2.50 - ecicce
    cce-trial 2.66/2.67 version - ecicce
cce 2.7 trial versiion - no ecicce
cce sp 2.66/2.67 trial version - no ecicce

then underneayth it has a section for canoput

    canopus 2.0
    canopus pro

im guessing its cce and one of the top 2 but not swure

    thanks again,

  12. Kind of depends on the version of CCE you're using. If you have the Basic $60 version, then choose "cce basic retail version". Otherwise, choose the version you have. For example, if you have CCE 2.70.02.04, then you choose "cce 2.7 trial versiion - no ecicce"

Canopus Procoder is a completely different encoder. Unless you plan on using it and not CCE, don't choose it.

isnt the free version just a test to copy like 3mins of a dvd and not the whole thing, also is the free version gona give me the same quality of results than the pro version or is it just added features,

The free version of DVD-RB does everything. It'll do a complete DVD for you. Yes, same quality and everything.
