I have just been trying to copy a few videos onto a dvd using nero Vision to make a dvd for my dvd player. for some reason when i egt to the end of the 40 minute clips the sound seems to be out of sinc with the rest of the video, i cant see why this is cause in avi form they are perfectly fine?
Why why is this, is there any other way i can put them on dvd using any other more reliable software, quickley and easily, they are just needed as quick as possible, as long as they have decent quality i dont mind.
Cheers
Chris

I'll give a couple of possible reasons;
1. Using Nero for anything other than burning.
2. VBR MP3 or AC3 audio in the source AVI.
Using something like DivxToDVD or the manual way - http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2.DVD.htm - may solve #1. It may even be as simple as extracting the audio to a WAV file - http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/ExtractAudio.htm - and then remuxing this into a new AVI with virtualdub (making sure you have Video > Direct Stream Copy selected) and then trying this new AVI in NeroVision.
A GSpot of your source file (See the sticky at the top of this forum - https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=271697 ) will go a long way towards ruling out #2.If in doubt, Google it. -
If you've got room on the blank try changing the audio to LPCM. This sometimes does the trick. Audio sync problems happen with many encoders out there, it's not only a Nero problem as jimmalenko infers.
