Most of the time when I play a divx file, everything's fine...audio and video wise. Recently, I downloaded a few files where the video is fine, but in some parts of the movie the volume goes way down. As the file continues to play, loud "chirping" sounds intermittently happen. Then all of a sudden, the audio is OK again. If I stop viewing the file, then restart it, the same thing happens again, and in the same spots.

I washed the problem files through Gspot, and they say that all is well. Keep in mind- only SOME of the divx files I download are like this. All I can think is that it just so happens to be bad files I'm downloading or bad codecs in my system...but it's the SAME kind of chirping in the multiple bad files. Any insight into this subject would be greatly appreciated!

This is usually caused by bad files. Somewhere along the way, garbage has gotten into the file.

Sometimes you can correct this issue. Check in the "How To" section under "EDIT". There should be a guide or two there for correcting damaged files.
