I did a quick search tosee if this topic was covered already. But didn't find it. So I apologize if I missed it.
I have a number tv shows in Divx or xvid format that play fine on my DVD player w/ divx support. However some have no sound yet they play fine on my computer. I have determined that these files use Ogg Vorbis compression for the audio. I would like to convert the audio to mp3 format so they will play in my DVD player. I have tried VirtualDub but it will not even open those files. Says it cannot detect file type for those avi's. I figure someone on her has encountered this before and can give some advice. Thank you.

Open them up in Gspot and see what codec it is really using.

This procedure should automatically re-encode the audio to 224k MP3s and mux it back with the video.

    Gspot says
    File Type: Ogg Media
    Mime Type: application/x-ogg
i'm wander if there is a ogg for virtual dub plugin/mod to let virtual dub CAN detect the file type, thanks.
