Copying 2 sided dvd to 1 dvd.

I just bought a dvd & discovered it's on 2 sides. I'd like to make a backup copy so the whole thing is on 1 side. When my grandchildren play them I'd rather they didn't have to turn them over, besides I usually make backups for them to play so they don't ruin the originals. When I tried to decryped with DVD Decrypter the first side went fine but then when I went to do side 2 it said the files were already there as the files on side 2 were named the same as side 1. This did not surprise me but I don't know how to get around it so I can have all the files named right so I can then load them into DVD Shrink & just make a copy of the main movie, which is what I usually do for the kids. I looked in the DVD Backup articles in the left column, but didn't really find anything that would address this particular issue. Anyone ever done this with any success?

Thank you too, stiltman. I've been staring at The Man Who Would be King for a few months now, looking for a way to put it on one side without having to use/buy DVDRemake Pro. That MrBass guide for backing up flippers with DVDShrink should do it.

Hrmm... too bad the DVDShrink reauthor function doesn't support menus. Oh well, it still slapped the two pieces together and transcoded it to one side. Works well.
