I have some audio recorded with a MiniDisc player and the files turned out pretty "bass heavy". I was just wondering if there were any tools/methods to reducing the bass, because it kinda distorts the sound of the recording when it's listened to.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much in advance for any help.

I use CoolEdit Pro (now Adobe audition).

 Another good option is GoldWave.

Look in the tools section under Audio. The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
