  1. I have been using TMPGEnc for a long time and I didn't have any problems till now. I try to convert an avi file into Mpeg. But TmpegEnc does not support the audio format of the avi files when I try to convert them. It seems that I don't have the proper Codec. When I click on the Audio properties of the avi file it says "Mpeg Layer-3"! I can listen to MP3s...but what does that mean? Does anbody know where I can get this codec so I can convert those avi-files? Thanx!

  2. If your avi files is a DivX...
It could have been encoded with the new version of DivX.

Try installing DivX 4.02 (which is backward compatible with older versions of DivX) and see if TMPEnc recognizes the audio.

I have the same problem, i can play mp3 and divx files via m/soft media player, but most encoders will not recognise the audio stream within the divx.avi file, so i have split the audio and video out into seperate files, and then use tpmg to convert to mpeg format

I have installed the divx 4.02, and thi still does not work ???

  4. Try installing the Radium MP3 Codec, you can get it from digital-digest, just a suggestion.
