big problems with the two last version of ffmpegX

Hi,

Since the version 0.0.9b of ffmpegX, i've got problems with the encoding using the ffmpeg engine. The "fast VCD" preset and the "fast divx" presets create wrong .mpg or .avi files that VLC or QT 6.5 cannot read without error.

i want to know if others users have the same problems or not ?

"fast DivX" in 0.0.9c should be the same as in 0.0.9a, please check again.

About "fast VCD" I didn't get any error in 0.0.9c even opening with Quicktime Player. Can you email me a link to a sample file?

It seems that ffmpeg has changed since the 0.0.9a version (CVS of april 2004 now). Perhaps this is the source of the problem for me i don't know. I've deleted the 0.0.9c and reinstalled the 0.0.9a.

The fast DivX CVS in 0.0.9c is the same as in 0.0.9a.

When i use ffmpegX 0.0.9c i 've got problems and with the same settings with 0.0.9a i haven't got any problem. I cannot use the "quicktime to decode" because i haven't got the mpeg2 components.

Please focus on one problem at a time.

For "fast DivX", which is the problem and when it is happening? Please provide applicable outputs and file formats so as I can reproduce the error and fix it.

with "fast divx":

i use .vob as input files and the output file is an .avi i cannot read with usual applications like VLC. I haven't got any ouput file to provide because i have deleted them after.
