  1. Hi:

I've recently started using Eazy VCD for ripping and I love the program because it's easy to find special features but I'm still trying to figure out how to get the audio commentary to the VCD. If it's possible with this program, I'd like to use it but I also have SmartRipper, DVDX, and a bunch of other programs that might do the trick.

    Thanks for any help,

  2. From what I can tell VCD wont support more then one Stereo audio language adn what ur asking is for a different language. I woudl suggest going with SVCD instead. If u want to use Mono sound then from what I've read u coudl do it bu tnot sure how. there are some tutorials on ripping mutiple languages though in the guides. Hope i Could be of some help sorry if i'm not. Take care and good luck!

  3. You could put one language on the right stereo and another audio track on the left stero track. Some VCD/DVD players have the option to switch from one side(ie left or right) with the audio button, or just plug in the left or right audio cord.

  4. It would be great if I could do that but I'm trying to figure out how I get to that point, how do I create a VCD so it has an audio commentary on one track and regular audio on the other? I'd be happy if it just had the commentary. I popped in a DVD with commentary, had Eazy VCD scan the disc and I don't think any of the files include the audio commentary. When I click on the audio option in Eazy, it only offers 1 in English and 1 in Spanish. I don't want second language, just director/actor commentary.

    Thanks for your responses,

  5. Well I suggest using DVDx 2.2. not sure what version u have but with 2.2 I know the u can select different audio languages. I'll try to walk ya through the basics of finding it then let ya do it from there on.

    1. pop the dvd in ur dvd drive
    2. open dvdx
    3. [File][open DVD root]
    4. select the title that u believe is what you want (usually the longest)
    5. at the input settings screen in the subsection titled audio change the track to one of the different options I'm assuming another english for commentary
    6. set ur other preferences and click ok
    7. hit play, listen to the audio to see if its got ur commentary in it
    a) No it doesnt, repeat steps 5-7 with a different lagnuage till u find it
    b) Yes it does, set your output preferences and start ripping

Well thats all I got, as I haven't used Easy VCD and couldn't tell ya how to do it with that, sorry but this should do it. Hope I helped, sorry if I didn't. Take care and good luck.

  7. Rip the movie into a mpeg1 file, and use an audio program (can't think of any yet) to rip the audio (I used one, but lost its name). Then edit it in goldwave or other audio editing program. Record your own mono commentary and copy and paste it to the left stereo track. Just make sure that your track is the same length.

  8. I might be missing the point here but when you use DVD2AVI to get the audio you can select different audio chanels, by trial and error you may find the one that contains the commentary.
