Hi everyone,
the source mpg's are dvd compliant 720x576 (pal)
when i play them in any player, the sync is perfect, so i guess its not the source problem.
when i author them, in any proggie at all (tried ulead, dazzle, and dvdlab) i get a terrbile out-of-sync audio with a lapse of about 1 second.
all fo my prefe. are pal (tried ntsc also)
in dvdlab, i let it demux and mux the audio/video itself, but it didnt help.
anyone have any idea?
thnx!

I really wanted to like DVDLab, but the dvd files I made with it did not always play smoothly (stutter problems) on my standalone dvd player. It was like hit or miss. The program may have improved since then, but I'm already sold on TMPGEnc's DVD Author and did purchase it.
A lot of people knock this program, because of its' inflexibility regarding certain features. But, it's rock solid and has been an extremely reliable program for me. Yes, a nice GUI and more features are great. But, if the end product doesn't function/play correctly, then it really doesn't matter.
Try it for yourself and see before you dismiss it. You already stated DVDLab doesn't work, so why not try another alternative? By no means am I trying to offend or patronize you here. Experimentation is the best method to learn what works and doesn't work for you. Besides, it's fun and you learn a great deal more.
