    Hi,
I am a novice when it comes to DVD so answers in words of one sylable please.
I want to convert my commercial (purchased) VHS tapes over to DVD. I am looking at the Phillips DVDR70/001. Does anyone have experience with this machine? Is it the right machine for the job? Are there any problems copying commercial VHS to DVD?
    Any help gratefully received.

    Hi,
Thanks for the info re dvdr70/001. I had heard that all commercial (purchased) VHS tapes were copy protected. It sounds like yours were not so protected. What happens if you copy a VHS tape that is copy protected?
Dixons gave you a good deal. In france they are 499€.
    Cheers,
