  1. Hi all,

I have authored many DVD's using Maestro now and am stumped on how to do something. I have converted several 8mm tapes to DVD and now I want to add 3 different sound tracks. The reason being that whom ever watches these old moves will be able to select their desired music (i.e. brother heavy metal, parent classical ..etc).

So I was thinking I would add 3 audio tracks... easy enough, the problem being how can I get 3 seperate buttons on the title to play the appropriate music file when the movie starts. I figure when u play a DVD you go into a setup screen and can selet a seperate audio track (english french ...etc). So this should be a farily common task yet I can't seem to figure it out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

In short, here's what to do.

Add in your multiple soundtracks and note what track number each one is.

In your meny, create a button. Select it and go to the "buttons" tab. You can the assign an action for the button to change various things like subtitle and audio streams. Select 'audio' and the number of the stream that you want that buttone to select.

    That's it.

  4. hey thanks Bartman,

I was trying a way using command sequences and needed to compile it to see if it worked. I read your post before compiling so I'll give your suggestion a try. Thanks again.

BJ_M, why waste time posting a stupid suggestion, are you really that bored?

yep - its a stock answer (sorry, but having really bought several maestro systems - all the posts from people re: maestro questions (when they clearly never paid for it (in many cases)) , gets me a little ticked sometimes, but never mind me..)
