i am looking to import 100 pictures into premiere 6.5 and have them "maintain aspect ratio" and hopefully each one have a diffrent random transition. i would also like to be able to select a time length for each picture on the time line (ex: 5 seconds, 7 seconds, whatever)
i know all of this can be done on a picture per picture basis, but i am looking for a one click easy solution
anyway, if this is all to much to ask for i understand, but maybe, just maybe i could get 1 or 2 of these knocked out.)
any takers?
thanks.

I'm not sure if this answers your question but you can set a default duration for all imported still images.
Select "edit" -> "preferences" -> "General and Still Image". You will see a deault duration defined as the number of frames. This is where you set a duration. For example, if you wanted a 5 second duration, set the value to frames value * 5 (frames value = your project's frames per second, i.e 30 fps).
To import the pictures just select all of them and bring them into the bin.
Good luck. -

I actually just did this, but I do not think there is a way to add random transitions.
I wish there was, it would make my life much easier!
