Hi !
I just bought the sony dvd burner and i have a question ?
My doubt is because i don't want to lock the dvd burner in one especific region... I wanna be able to copy and burn any dvd (different regions) without the worry about this issue.
If i burn Region 4 DVD's into DVD-R does my burner will be setup to region 4?
FYI I have a TOSHIBA SD-M1612 as a DVD-ROM (region free firmware hacked)
Can somebody explain me how it works ?
Also
How can i make my burner a region free ?
Thanks

If you create a DVD it will be region free.
If you rip a DVD in your toshiba, make sure you make it region free before burning.
Why burn region 4 DVD when you can burn them region free? This way you will not have a region locked Sony burner. -
Thanks for your reply but that's not what i meant...
My doubt is If i make an on the fly copy of a dvd disk does my burner will check the region of the disk ? and... because of that count as a region change ? .
also if i rip to my hd and re authoring with some software tool does my new dvd burn disc will keep the original region code or it will be region free disc ?
Last question... How do i take it off the region info from the dvd when i rip to my hd ?
Thanks in advance...
