I have recently experienced difficulty with my Sony DVD RW DRU-830A burner. I have used Sony DVDs to record but the colors of the end product is distorted when viewed on a DVD/TV. I have used Memorex DVDs with the same result thinking that the Sony DVDs might be inferior. However, in researching the subject, I realize that the Sony DVD (Mfr ID: Sony16D1) should be a reliable DVD and superior to the Memorex. Can anyone enlighten me as to what the problem might be? I certain appreciate the help!

I would suspect the source data, not the hardware. Bad/cheap media typically causes stuttering/skipping/lockups because the data is corrupted. It shouldn't cause distorted video.
What is your video source? How are you processing it? How are you authoring it?Google is your Friend
