I'm getting errors when I try to use AutoGK to convert a DVD I ripped to avi.

"A field order transition was detected. You may need to use the Fix D2V tool to repair the stream. Refer to the DGIndex Users Manual for details."

And then it goes on for a bit and I get:

    "Avisynth open failure:
MPEG2Source: Force Film mode not supported for frame repeats.
    (---_comptest.avs, line 5)"

So I did it again and when the first error came up, I used DGFix on the d2v and let it continue but I still got the second error.

I understand the first error (in theory, at least) but the second one doesn't really mean anything to me.

    Help?

What is the disc and how did you rip it ?

It seems like it is being detected as 23.976 fps, but at some point the video has pulldown applied. This could be from a bad rip that is confusing DGIndex, or something else you have done in the process. It would also explain the first error.

  3. Upgrade to the latest AutoGK, ver. 2.48. I believe you must be using a version older than 2.46 when that problem was fixed. Whenever posting about AutoGK problems, please post a log so we don't have to guess.

Die Hard with a Vengeance, and I used DVD Decrypter in File mode.

    Upgrade AutoGK as advised.

Stop ripping with ancient technology. Unless you are ripping old discs or have the latest AnyDVD running in the background, you should be ripping with DVDFab HD Decrypter. DVD Decrypter has not been updated in over a year, and doesn't handle newer copy protection. If this is the re-release disc, it may not rip cleanly with DVD Decrypter.
