    what do i need 2 change a divx file 2 a mpg file cause my computer doesnt have that much power 2 run divx so can u tell me a lil bout changin it and how long will it take 2 change a 300 MB movie 2 2 diffrent parts of file 1 and 2

  2. well if your computer dosent have enough power to watch a divx movie i doubt it has enough to convert, just check the how to section on converting on the site

    DivX is actualy just an ordinary CODEC like so many else.
    Your video remains as AVI and you'll only can play it if the DivX Codec is installed at your system.

    To be an independent video-stream, so watching at any system, you should convert the DivX to MPeG.

    To do so, you'll better recompress the DivX to, for instance MjPEG (using VDub is the easiest way). The audio should be in uncompressed PCM format (best use 44.1Khz, 192bitrate). The resulting AVI can then easely encoded to MPeG1 (VCD) or MPeG2(SVCD). If you like you can burn it onto 1 or more CD's (to save some space on your local harddisks).
    Using winDVD or some program like that, you can watch the move without any problem...
