  1. All of a sudden for some reason, my D; drive is not responding when I put a disk in, and even when I go to my computer and try to open the drive it won't let me, it pops up a window saying... "Unable to access drive D: the drive is locked by a disk utility" What in the world does this mean, and how can I fix it??? The drive is my dvd drive so I can't even watch any movies Help would be much appreciated!

Right click on your drive....Properties...Hardware tab....Select your drive...properties....DVD Region tab....it if is normal, it should say "Changes Remaining:4". I doubt this is the problem though, if you've never changed it.

  7. I have heard of this problem before but never seen a solution. I have never had the chance to see it myself - no chance of you shipping your PC to me is there?

Have you tried going to control panel, system, hardware manager
and click on cdrom drive and remove - then reboot ??
