I'm putting together a highlight video for a football player. I know all about capturing from a VOB file, etc. In any event, the DVDs his coach gave me are not importing. My Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Version, is not recognizing the disk. It seems there is a lock on the DVD. Ultimately, after I tried importing it a few times it said that the IFO files were either in use, or locked. I downloaded an IFO Decrypter, created files, but it's still not working. Is there anything I can do? His coach is on vacation and I have a deadline. I would appreciate help on this matter. Thank you for your time.![]()

Try using the free DVDFab HD Decrypter to decrypt the DVD to your hard drive and then try to work with the decrypted files in Pinnacle. You can't really "lock" DVDs but perhaps whoever made this DVD was anal about it being copied without payment and they may have put some bad sectors, etc. on it to try to thwart that. DVDFab should be able to get you a sane copy to your hard drive that you can work with.
Note that weekends in general are periods of low participation for many forum regulars and unfortunately for you this is also a holiday weekend which may make it harder for you to get help.
