Im using the ATI all in wonder usb edition, i get sound on captured avi's when i use their soft but not when i use virtualdub. Im running winxp, but when i tried it on a win2k machine same thing happened. I've looked at the sound options and nothing is muted. Throw some suggestions at me. Thanx in advance.

One thing worth trying to to run the intialization wizard again. When it asks for the sound input it should let you select the appropriate input . You may hear sound but you won't record anything if it's not connected or configured to the right sound source.

Check the Sound Properties for recording. If your capture card has audio input then make sure that you have your card selected on the recording properties. If you capture through a sound card then make sure that the capture card is selected...
I don't remember if windows xp has the speaker on the taskbar but if it does just right-click it and adjust the audio properties for recording. If it's not on the taskbar then just open the control panel and adjust it there. Hope this helps. -
After messing with this thing for days, the only way i am able to capture audio from this thing is to rather then go through the ati cards audio in, to go straight to the sound cards line in. Big and Bullworth thanx for taking the time and trying to help me out.
